Product description

Are these placemats thick and sturdy enough for everyday use?

These placemats are hand-woven with a tighter, heavier bulrush weave designed for regular family use. They feel firm in the hand and stay flat under dinner plates when used on a level surface.
Do the placemats have a strong smell?

Because they are made from natural bulrush, there may be a light plant scent when first opened. Many customers find it mild and it typically airs out after placing them in a ventilated space.
Can I use these under hot plates or serving dishes?

They provide an extra layer between your dish and the table and are commonly used under warm plates and serving dishes. For very hot cookware taken directly from the oven or stove, an additional trivet is recommended.
Are these placemats suitable for outdoor use?

Yes, many people use them on patios, picnic tables, and garden parties. After outdoor use, it’s best to wipe them dry and store them in a cool, dry place to help maintain their shape and color.
